Not for whole-device disposal: File-level shredding is not the same as securely erasing an entire SSD or encrypted device. Use device-specific erase/reset guidance for resale or disposal.

What is the difference between Delete and Shred?
Normal deletion usually removes the file's directory entry and marks storage space reusable. Shredding attempts to overwrite selected data before deletion.
Can cloud backups still contain a copy?
Yes. Shredding a local file does not remove copies from cloud sync history, external backups, email attachments or another device.
Is the installer signed?
The current installer is not digitally signed. Its published SHA-256 lets you verify the exact file audited here.
