Featured: securely delete selected files
Normal deletion removes a directory reference; a file shredder overwrites selected data before removal. Use it only when you are certain the file is no longer needed.
Windows Security first
If your concern is malware or spyware, use current Windows Security protection rather than a generic performance tool.
Back up before deletion
Shredding is intentionally difficult to reverse. A current external or cloud backup is the safest preparation.
SSD note: Wear leveling and device firmware mean software overwrite tools cannot guarantee erasure of every historical SSD copy. For whole-device disposal, use the drive maker's secure-erase process or Windows device-reset guidance.
